CARLSBAD, CA, December 06, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Originally founded in 1982, Fantasea was bought by Riverside Marine in 2006. Hume Campbell, a third-generation owner of Riverside Marine, has a unique fondness for the region that influenced him in purchasing the company.

"Hume (Campbell's) love of the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef certainly influenced him in purchasing Fantasea, and it's great to have somebody so behind the operations in charge," Fantasea General Manger Rob Addis says.

The company offers leisure cruising options throughout the Great Barrier Reef, including regions such as Whitsunday Island and Hamilton Island. Fantasea also operates the ferry between the Townesville and Magnetic Island communities.
