The Pattaya International Balloon Fiesta will showcase a wide array of colourful hot air balloons between December 10th and 13th 2011.

PATTAYA, THAILAND, December 08, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Pattaya International Balloon Fiesta is returning once again this December and promises to offer a range of activities and attractions for families visiting the region.

To be held between December 10th and 13th this year, the event will see the skies above Pattaya filled with colourful hot air balloons in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Past years have seen entries from weird and wonderful balloons shaped like everything from elephants, houses, shopping bags and beer bottles to cars, trees and Darth Vader.

A huge selection of events and activities is available to those attending, including balloon flights, air shows, kite-flying sessions, fireworks displays and much more.

Flights tend to take place in the earlier hours of the morning or in the evening, when the air is coolest, with those who hop a ride experiencing majestic aerial views of Pattaya.

It will be taking place at the Thammasat University Pattaya campus, with audiences of around 200,000 expected to attend, all of whom will be able to freely mingle in the fields, instead of being confined to viewing stands.
