Discount Cab Offers "Free Ride Back" For Valley Residents This 4th of July
Program designed to promote road safety; gives passengers a free ride back to their cars the next day

PHOENIX, AZ, June 30, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Valley area residents celebrating our nation's Independence Day this year have a responsible and hassle-free way to have fun, stay safe and avoid a DUI with Discount Cab's "Free Ride Back" program, which offers inebriated patrons who call a cab in Phoenix or Tucson, a free ride back to their cars the next day—no questions asked.

The Fourth of July weekend is known for parties around the Valley and therefore is a busy weekend for Discount Cab. It's also a busy time for law enforcement, with DUI checkpoints located throughout the Valley. More than 18,000 Arizona drivers were cited for DUIs in 2010.

"Arizona has some of the toughest DUI laws in the country," said Craig Hughes, CEO of Total Transit, Inc., which owns Discount Cab. "Our program takes the worry out of your Independence Day fun and keeps inebriated drivers off of Arizona's streets."

Phoenix and Tucson residents wanting to take advantage of the program can call 602-200-2000 in Phoenix and 520-388-9000 in Tucson. The offer applies to patrons at any local bar or restaurant, and Discount Cab actually offers the "Free Ride Back" service year round.
